Temperance River
Our camp Thursday night was at Temperance River State Park. All of the Superior Fall Races passed through the park, so it was a convenient location. The above photo is taken from the foot bridge, looking upstream.
The campgrounds were right beside the river's mouth, which came rushing down through a narrow ravine. At night you could listen to both the river and the surf. The above photo is taken from an overlook back towards the foot bridge.
Temperance River reputedly got its name because it lacks a gravel bar at its mouth.
