How much snow did we get?

Our Court.

Our Sidewalk. Luckly, since we live in an apartment, they plow our court and sidewalks for us! You can sort of tell how deep it is from this picture (about 12 in).

Snow, Snow, and More Snow!

Yesterday, We got a lot of snow and we had to take advantage of it. Ben and I went for a walk and played frisbee too. It is a good thing we had a bright orange frisbee and not a white one.

Celebrate Today!

I recently went to a ceramic/pottery place where you paint a piece and they glaze and fire it for you. It was a lot of fun and I definitely want to do it again. I made a plate that I hope to use for special occasions. It was cool that I got it back today, just in time for Ben's birthday! I really like how it turned out.

New Banner

How do you like our new banner? The picture was taken last summer (August 2005) during our Smoky Mountain Vacation.

Face Recognition

My Heritage has a very fun face comparison on their website. I found out about through an article on yahoo. You have to have a photo (or multiple photos) to upload. Plus, you have to register, but it is free. Then it gives you a list of celebrity photos, listed with a percent similarity. The nice thing about doing more than one photo is that you can see if someone comes up more than once. Here are some of the people that came up more than once for me: Daniel Day-Lewis, Zinedine Zidane, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hayden Christensen, Justin Timberlake, Leslie Nielsen, Anthony Hopkins, Mel Gibson, Michael Jordon, and Lisa Kudrow. The Lisa Kudrow comparison makes me laugh.

Tree House

I found out about an eighty foot tall tree house west of Gosport from a man in a little diner in Paragon. The tree house is in an old oak on a ridge overlooking the White River valley. It had quite a view.

George of the Jungle

Or should I say "Ben of the Jungle?" Needless to say, I was watching out for that tree. There is a good vine swing at Paul Ruster Park, near our place.

Lakefront Chicago

It was pretty blustery in Chicago on Saturday. We were worried that it would be even colder for the marathon on Sunday. You get a nice view of the skyline from Lincoln park off Montrose Ave.
