I found this orchid blooming in Noble County, OH. The green lip points to S. lacera. It also has a single, strong spiral, a glabrous spike, and absent leaves at flowering. (Vocab word - fugacious - meaning to fall away early) Quite a pretty flower, especially for an old field habitat.
