Prothonotary Warbler
Joy and I went to an INPAWS wildflower walk at Twin Swamps Nature Preserve in Posey County, Indiana. I enjoyed the walk and getting to talk with some of the botanists. The warblers were good, with Ceruleans, Parulas, Yellow-throateds, and Prothonotaries making their presence known. I was very excited to have a Prothonotary Warbler sit still on a decently close branch while I snapped a picture of him in a Populus heterophylla. The swamp was very cool, and is one of the few areas that Bald Cypress naturally occur in Indiana.
