Fort Matanzas Beach

We visited Fort Matanzas Beach on the Atlantic, just south of St. Augustine, with the dogs. Not many beaches allow dogs, but we were lucky that one relatively close did.


It was a warm, sunny day, but the beach was empty. Well, it wasn't warm enough to do more than wading and there was a breeze, but it was still nice to take a walk. Especially since we pretty much had the beach to ourselves.


None of the dogs particularly seemed to want to play in the water too much.




Laney wasn't sure about the waves. There didn't seem to be much potential squirrel habitat on the beach, in her eyes. She did like running after some gulls and sandpipers with me, though.
