Yellow-crowned Night Heron

I took these yesterday while kayaking around Kings Bay, in Crystal River. The Night Heron must have thought he was something special, because he just kept sitting there posing. Some of his poses were so comical, I almost laughed. Yellow-crowns live in Indiana, but I don't see them frequently at all. They seemed very common along Kings Bay.

Enjoying the Florida sun?
Looks like he has his hands stuck in his pockets.
A more traditional pose.
