Ball State Screech Owl

Back in November '05 I saw an Eastern Screech Owl along Christie Woods at Ball State. (Link to post) Monday, I was walking by the same tree, and there he was. I had checked earlier in the afternoon when I was coming in, but I didn't see him. He might have been down inside the tree then. I did not have my camera with me, so I went and bought a disposable. I wish I had my own camera, but I love pictures of owls. He just sat there and slept, occasionally peeking at me. I probably watched him for a half hour. Check out the earlier post. Do you think it is the same owl? I don't know the lifespan for Screeches, but I would guess it could be over 2 years.

These are neat photos. Is it common to see owls during the day?

I wouldn't say it is common to see owls during the day. It is easier to find them, if you know where to look. Ben is always on the lookout for owls (and other birds too)! :)
