Polar Bear Run '08

Andrew Irwin, Rich Wathen, Joy, and I ran in the Polar Bear Run this morning. Joy did the 5K and Andrew, Rich, and I did the main event, the 5 mile race. Andrew won it out of the three of us. I ran slower than last year (I had a 7:27 pace last year), but I felt much better and had a better placing this year.

In the 5 mile run (with 667 entrants):
Andrew Irwin, finished 74th overall, in 32:53, with a pace of 6:35 minutes per mile
Ben Hess, finished 169th overall, in 38:10, with a pace of 7:38
Rich Wathen, finished in 207th overall, in 39:15, with a pace of 7:51

In the 5K fitness walk/run (with 93 entrants):
Joy Hess, finished 7th overall, in 35:22, with a pace of 11:22
