Running Buffalo Clover

Running Buffalo Clover, Trifolium stoloniferum, is a Federally Endangered Species. I got to see several of the plants in a cemetery in North Bend, Ohio. I'll have the opportunity to do surveys for this species at several sites this month. It can look superficially like the common Trifolium repens, but it has two leaves on the flowering stalk, bigger leaves, large stipules, and a distinctive droop to old flower heads. Here is a lot of useful info from USFWS.

Nice photos Ben! :) Those drooping flowers are pretty distinctive looking, aren't they? Good job. :) Do you have a macro lens for taking up-close photos?
