Northern Water Snake

There were a lot of these water snakes at a wetland mitigation site I visited today. They were just swimming all around me when I stood still. I counted at least five all together, including the baby. These guys have an anticoagulant in their saliva, so their bites bleed profusely. I believe this is the midland sub-species.
