Liparis

Last weekend, I got to see two Liparis species blooming fairly close together (0.1 miles?) at Morgan-Monroe State Forest. The top is Liparis liliifolia, and it was growing on a slope. The bottom is Liparis loeselii, growing in a seep at the bottom of the slope. *Of course, these orchids pale in comparison to the many, fascinating Carex species.

*Disclaimer added for for Dr. Rothrock. ;)
