Trillium nivale

Snow Trillium (Trillium nivale), Warren County, Indiana.

It was a welcome sign of spring to find some Snow Trilliums blooming on some of the wooded, south-facing slopes. These guys were very diminutive and easily over-looked.

Marc found the first patch, then we saw several more. I love the subtle blue-green color of the leaves.
