Steptoe Valley Scenes

The Schell Creek range illuminated by the setting sun.

A pair of Pintails at Commins Lake. Commins Lake has only a small area ice-free, so all the waterfowl are concentrated. Canvasbacks outnumber all other species put together, but there were also Redheads, Buffleheads, Wigeon, Gadwalls, Mallards, Ring-necks, Scaup, Green-wings, and Cinnamon Teal.

The sunset over the Egan range. I couldn't capture the colors in the sky.

The moon rose over the Schell Creek range as I was leaving.
