Canyon Junction to Tower Falls

Sunday, after setting up camp at the Canyon Campground, we decided to just do part of the northern loop in Yellowstone. Heading north towards Mt. Washburn, I had to turn back around to check out our first Bison. We eventually had our fill of Bison and didn't feel the need to stop and look at every single one we saw, but these were our first in the park. Later, we'd feel like veterans passing the newbies pulled over for a single Bison.

We didn't have time to do the Mt. Washburn trail. That will have to stay on my list for the future. We did stop and scan the hillside for Grizzlies, since we had heard it was a likely spot to see them. It was scenic even without a bear.

Tower Falls

A herd of Elk was grazing in the valley near Canyon junction.
