I hear that Green Fringed Orchid is one of the more weedy and common orchids in northern Indiana, but this was the first time that I had seen it in bloom. I ran across this one on the edge of a mesic woods in LaPorte County.

This must be the time of year for Platanthera orchid blooming. I've seen three species in the past month, and they are all pretty showy. Your P. lacera looks less striking, but still very neat to look at!
