Saturday, I went on an INPAWS field trip to Fisher Oak Savanna. There is an excellent restored praire with many great species, but the highlight was seeing a colony Orange Fringed Orchid.Potentilla arguta - Tall Cinquefoil

I just had a great surprise this morning when I found eight flowering spikes of orange-fringed orchids while checking some trees in a boggy/seepy area. They were only on my radar because of this blog post.
Thanks!
