2009 Indy Mini
Saturday was the 2009 Indianapolis Mini Marathon. The weather was nice and cool, with an overcast sky, which is about as nice as you will ever get. I did not feel as fast or as strong this year as I have in the past, but a combination of good weather and experience helped me get a personal best 1:48:52. Since I have a fancy new watch, I could look at my mile splits. I don't know what happened to my pace between miles 4 and 7. Joy ran the 5K and had a good time with friends.

This year, I was the fastest Hess! Fourteen people with the last name of Hess finished the race.
The photo of you waiting for the race to start looks pretty intense. I like it. You're getting some nice bird shots lately. I also like the muskrat carrying the grass.
