Raccoon by the Big Raccoon

I have been working near the Big Raccoon Creek, Putnam County, IN a bit lately. I laugh inside almost every time I think of the name, because I was with Regan one day when we crossed the creek, and he said, "I wonder how big the raccoon was that they named the creek after?"
