Stuck in the mud

Tuesday, I was delineating a site down on the Ohio River in Posey County. It was a nice day to be outside. The main creek draining into the Ohio was deeply downcut and heavily silted in. I took a jump to the other side. I was wearing my knee boots, and I expected to sink a little. Instead, I went down pretty deep. I had to lay the spade down and kneel on it to get out. I definitely could have gone deeper if I had wiggled or landed on one foot. Rod was on hand to take the picture. Unfortunately, he had the camera when he sank into the mud...
