Indianapolis Marathon

Last Saturday, Ben and some friends ran in the Indianapolis Marathon (26.2 miles). It was a beautiful day and every one finished! Ben finished in his best time of 4 hours and 13 minutes. As a spectator, this was my favorite marathon. It had fewer runners in it so it was easier to find Ben and there were multiple places where I could walk and see the runners during the race. Ben liked this marathon the best too, mainly because there were fewer runners to run around. This is his third marathon. He has done the Columbus (Ohio) and the Chicago Marathon. Below are some pictures throughout the race.

Here is the group before the race (Rich, Pamela, Chris and Ben).

Ben really liked this picture. He felt it captured what he was thinking and how he felt after finishing. He gets really cold after running long distances, so that is why he has two coats on. Ben was the first out of the group to finish, so he got to cheer on everyone else as they came in. Rich finished in 4:26, and Pamela and Chris finished in 4:50.
