Showy Ladyslipper

The Ladyslipper Orchid is the queen of flowers at Cabin Creek Bog. There were about 10 flowers blooming today. They are just gorgeous. They are very rare in central Indiana, but more common in the northern third. They do not transplant well and will die if removed from their habitat.
