The Modern Scholar; The Literature of CS Lewis
Joy and I listened to a set of CDs on spring break that are the recorded lectures for a college course. Professor Timothy Shutt from Kenyon College lectured on the literature of CS Lewis. It was a lot of fun to hear him analyze the space trilogy, the chronicles of narnia, other works of fiction, and his apologetic and scholarly works. Joy recently finished reading all of the chronicles of narnia. I have read the space trilogy and almost all of his apologetic works, but not the chronicles. I have now read the Magician's Nephew, The Horse and His Boy, and the Last Battle since I have gotten home. Those were the only three narnia books Joy had in the house. Very enjoyable. Hey Ben, Joy,
That sounds like an interesting cd set to listen to. I have read all the Chronicles, and several of his scholarly works and have enjoyed all of them. I have not read the Space Trilogy and would like to get to them sometime. Ben, you can borrow my copies of the Narnia series if you want, I have the whole set.
