American Tree Sparrow

Today was a good day for sparrows at Blendon Woods. I also saw an Eastern Towhee, Song Sparrows, Field Sparrows, Fox Sparrows, White-throated Sparrows, and Dark-eyed Juncos. Here is an American Tree Sparrow. Note the red cap and black "thumb print" on his breast. He'll leave us shortly to head up north.
