Vesper Sparrow
I am not used to having leisurely views of Vesper Sparrows, so it seemed like a treat to get to watch them feed on the beach of Comins Lake, outside of Ely. Pretty much the only field mark I was familiar with was of the white edges to the tail as they would fly away. They were quite a bit bigger and rounder than the Savannah Sparrows that were also common.
