This tiny butterfly landed on me as I took a rest in a Lawrence County stream bed. It clearly appreciated something in my sweat-soaked pants, as it did not move for a while. My thanks to Kirk Roth for the identification. I flipped through "The Butterflies of Indiana" by Shull, but I didn't notice that species. According to Shull, it is present some years and absent in others. Interestingly, The Harvester is the only butterfly in North America whose larvae is carnivorous, as it feeds primarily on aphids. "Nobody ever suspects the butterfly..."
