Grand Teton Red Fox

Later in the day, we drove to the String Lake trailhead at the Grand Teton National Park. While driving, Joy spotted this gorgeous dark morph Red Fox. I snapped a couple pictures, but the fox disappeared into the woods.

We hiked around the String Lake area, before running into the same fox again, further down the trail. This time, I could get some closer pictures. I had not seen any other color phases of Red Foxes before, so it was a treat to see this one. He was obviously used to people, but he was still fairly wary and soon headed off into the woods.
